Small toy storage

DD has quite a few toys that are small but I don't know where to keep them. It's things like a little set of lego, a little toy girl with some dogs, that sort of thing. Because they are little sets I want all the bits kept together, but don't have anything small enough to keep them in, what does everyone else do?

Don't get storage for the tiny amount you have now. If it is things like Lego or Barbie it only takes a couple of birthdays/x-mas for the amount to suddenly increase. We have Ikea Expedit cube storage with pull out boxes in some of the cubes. Then Ikea Trofast for Sylvanian and playmobil. Friends use plastic crates with lids so they can stack the boxes. It all depends how much space you have.

I have always been a sucker for a cute vintage tin and have millions many, so at the moment not-baby-safe toys get one of those.

Fishing tackle boxes are good too. We have some strange miniature plastic dolls with removable rubber clothes someone gave her (DH and I call them The Gimps when out of earshot) and they're perfect in a plastic tackle box.

These are great for small things, we have loads of them:

I have just bought two of these from Muji and i am quite pleased. Considering buying some more now (and bigger ones too).

They stand very well and i am assuming i can put them in the wash on delicate should i have too much time on my hands and wish to clean the house down!

The stackable IKEA ones are brilliant and cheap!

The idea ones look great, thanks!

We have a few things like this, but so far not too many as DD is only 1 and I think she's just waiting to build her collection over time Hmm . We just use tupperware or wash old ice cream etc plastic tubs and use those at the minute. Like fresh said, I think everything will expand soon so I don't feel the need to buy containers at the minute
