Does anyone have on of these vacuum cleaners? I'm just after some honest opinions on these...
Its looking very tempting to me to put it on, close the door and come back to a nice cleaned floor, without having to do a thins...maybe too good to be true?
Their bloody expensive also but if they work I guess I'd be willing to give them a try!

We have one - was tremendously excited about it at first but tbh it doesn't get used used much I forget.
It trundles round busily and picks up quite well, but obviously just does the centre of the room and wherever it can reach the walls.
I just move the coffee table and a chair and set it off.
Handy in my massive kitchen/diner as well. In fact, I think I'll set it going now!

Thanks Shotgun, mind me asking which model you have?

I have a Roomba - was surprised at how good it was. Great at cleaning under the beds as well. To get a good clean, you have to clear the floor as much as possible first (I put chairs on the table, that sort of thing) but it only takes a few mins. Switch him on, do my shopping, come back to a nice clean room. Battery on mine has gone and it needs a new collection bin thingy, but this is after 4 years heavy use, so not too bad!

Thanks Westwinger, the roomba comes with really good reviews so that's top of my list. The only thing putting me off is the price tag on these...but the appeal of closing the door and coming back to a clean floor is just so strong...

Something to bear in mind - they do take ages to do a room - my kitchen diner takes him about 45 mins to complete. Bedroom maybe 20 mins. So if you are looking to do all your housework in one go, I would probably still use my old vacuum cleaner. But the Roomba is good for keeping on top of the housework from day to day. I switch him on in the kitchen at night time and come down in the morning to a clean kitchen. He struggles with the hearth in the living room - gets stuck sometimes, so I only switch him on in that room when I am at home so I can hear if he gets himself into trouble. Good luck!

We have one although I've not used it for years. Came in to the utility room one morning to see one of the DTS 'riding on it' Shock. Obviously it now doesn't work! Can anyone suggest a repairer?

Ours is a Roomba also - didn't know there was any other make!
I recently had to send back the Scooba as it couldn't cope with the cracks and hollows in the slate floor. Broke my heart it did Smile.

Anyone know how to unprogramme the Roomba? I have set mine to go off on a Sunday night and always forget to the clear the floor so want to cancel that.
I absolutely love mine, it is the best thing I have bought in ages and wouldn't be without it.
I use it nearly every day and find it picks more up than my previous vac.
Buy one it will change your life Grin

I really like our Rooba, gets used a lot. We have hard floors and it does a really great job. I need to go around tricky corners every so often.
