Interesting in getting a steam cleaner but dont know where to start!

Budget of up to about £100.

Want to use it for the hardwood floors downstairs and the slate floor in the kitchen so thinking a mop style one but then thinking id like to use it around the kitchen too.
I think id prefer one thats a mop (so thats it easy to use, quickly as building poles etc would be too much of a faff) but also have attachments to use on a hose.
Anyone any ideas?

annie the one savy & tutu linked to says it can be used on carpet, tiles, hardwood, slate, lino, stone, & marble

I am almost convinced... Can anyone tell me more?

Hi there
Thought I was the only saddo to get excited about steam cleaners!
I have read the QVC reviews and they seem very mixed, so I'm all confused now.
My sister has bought one recently but I cant remember the make.
I'll ask her and report back.

I bought a Karcher one yesterday (not from Argos, I'm overseas and paid 100 euro) So far I've only cleaned the bathroom. I don't think overall it does a better or quicker job than you could do otherwise but it did do it with no chemicals and with no scrubbing just wiping with a microfiber cloth. I think if you think of it as the scrubbing brush so you have to wipe down with a cloth afterwards it seems to make most sense. It cleaned the mirror, sink, bath, floor and tiles really well. It's not so good at getting rid of watermarks or limescale without a bit of help. I think vinegar would probably work but you might still need viakal. The little scrubbing brush on the concentrater nozzle is amazing at scrubbing grout and little spaces.
It freshened up the curtains well.
I a friends handheld one which was alright but didn't really have the pressure to clean really stubborn marks and you had to refill it often. I think the extra money for more pressure and capacity it worth it.
I'm glad I bought it. Hope that helps you all decide.

Does anyone who has the H20 use it on textured lino? My regular mop does a reasonable job on most of the floor (just need to give the weetabix a bit of a soak!) but the only way to get the grime out of the textured bits is to get on my hands and knees with a pan scrubber

Hi sorry I've not been back on a quick review of the h2o for use that are intrested so far I've used it on bath room tiles and living Room blinds the dirt that came off them was amazing well that should probaly be shocking but it for sure removes stubborn stains and limescale worked wonders on my shower head, I've also tried it on my bathroom floor which are cream textured tiles and the results where amazing they look soooooo clean and before I used steam cleaner on these they were impossible to get clean and ive tried all sorts of cleaners even bleach, now I have had a steam cleaner before just one of the little hand held ones and the reason I would say the h2o was worth the money is because of the continuiose steam and the power of it plus it allows you to adjust the power

I don't understand why people like to buy a cheap steam cleaner and then go and replace 5 times in a year.

I would rather spend money an research on karcher steam cleaner reviews orvax steam cleaner reviews

Has a mum i want a hassle free product which delivers value over time and reliability.I personally brought the karcher sc1020 after reading rave reviews.
