We're moving to a smaller house, and dd1 (14) and dd2 (12), will be sharing a good sized double room.

Atm, dd1 has a small double bed, and dd2 a single bed. Dd1 wants to keep her double, but it would take up too much room and so ive been looking at bunks with a double on the bottom, and single on top. I'm not overly keen on them, but cant think of another solution, other than two seperate singles, and a) dd1's not keen, and b) less floor space then.

So, i'm interested to know what other sharing teens have in their rooms wrt to beds and storage.

TIA

Off out shopping now so will read and reply later x

Personally I wouldn't allow the older one to keep her double, but nor would I do down the bunk beds route. Two cabin beds or high sleepers is the only way I could see it working.

Dd1 can't have a high bed as she has a spinal condition which she will be having surgery for soon.

They're too old for bunk beds IMO, DD2 won't enjoy clambering up to get to bed. I would tell DD1 she has to have a single bed. It's only fair.
