We just moved into our new house beginning.of December. back then the walls were spotless!! all a sort of creamy yellow colour. roll on to now nd there is allsorts marking them.:-(:-Q I've tried wiping but some of the paint comes off. how do I get them clean with out having to reprint the whole kitchen?! I wouldst be able to just touch up cause I don't have any paints that match the wall :-( or shall I just buy some cheap magnolia and paint.it all?

Rather sounds like that's what your vendors did!

...but then, you say its a new house, is it worth getting someone in to see if you're covered under the NHBC guarantee?
If its grease or something under the paint layer then that will show through and the only way out is to remove all the paint and treat the problem; if its a new house the builder may be liable for the cost.

No its nothing like that. its just family dirt iyswim. DS drawing on the wall with milky spoon, saucy fork etc and DTG's messing it up too!! DS.has been.painting on the kitchen table today and has splashed a bit of paint. All usual family mess but I want it cleaned up!! our vendors were really nice people. well respected in the.community and kept the house spotless.

it might have been painted with something not very hardwearing, especially if it is matt.

If you haven't done it before, you'll be surprised how quick it is to repaint walls using a brush for the edges and rollers for the rest. Use lots of dustsheets and keep a wet sponge handy as it splashes. Vinyl emulsion is more hard wearing than Trade, and silk is easier to clean than matt.
