If so, any pitfalls or tips? Looking at trees or hot air balloons for DD's room.

I got some from a 99p shop for my DD's room. I tested them first and they haven't removed the wallpaper with them. They've nicely brightened up a little corner!

I'm sensing you might be looking for something larger though?....

Pit falls, yes!

They won't come off DDs walls without bringing all the paint with them.

OK, we didn't redecorate when we stuck them up and I have no idea how old the original paint is.
But they are now causing me grief [buangry]

HappyMummyOfOne · 09/04/2012 21:44

We've had several over the years and they have always come off fine with no damage to the paint.

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 09/04/2012 21:46

I found they damaged the surface underneath, even though they were supposed to be removable. They weren't even the cheap shite stuff that I usually get.

Have used some by a French company - Djeco - v sweet and quite unusual. Also not overtly gender-specific

Got some from decowall and they were fab. Made a big difference to DD's room. Not tried to take them off yet but the company swear they won't damage the paint work. Thought they were reasonably priced too.

Hulababy · 09/04/2012 21:59

I've used them in the past in dd room. They were fine, easy to apply and e off no problem after 3 or 4 years too. Even the big wall art type ones.

Thanks for all your feedback. The ones I'm looking at do look very nice. Can't link from phone. Claim not to damage paintwork but actually it's a bad wall anyway so if we were ever to redecorate again in this house it'd be a reskimming job anyway. Think I need to leave new paintwork to dry out for a few weeks.

We've had plenty, on both DDs walls (not on wallpaper though, just on the painted bit above the picture rails and on their wooden furniture too)
No damage to walls at all. I recall the packaging said something about warming the sticker with a hairdryer prior to removing them but I've never bothered with that. We've had winnie the pooh stickers, princess stickers, fairy stickers and Doctor Who. All were no problems.

Hi,

I've got some in my DD's room and they look great; they are from Vertbaudet. But they do bring off the wall paint if you try to take them off. I knew this and still decided to buy some, as they look fantastic.

LIZS · 10/04/2012 12:57

dd has butterflies from Wilko's . Not tried to remove them but advice is to warm with hairdryer first
