Doing a major spring-clean this week. Any advice?

On Tuesday the kids are at holiday club and I have decided to have a major tidy/throw out/spring clean while they are out of the way. The thing is I'm a bit of a 'lick and a promise' sort of person and clean my house just about enough to make sure it's ok - tbh I have better things to do with my time!! However, this time I want to really give it a thorough going over. What would you advise I buy/do? I have a cupboard full of cleaning stuff but most of it hardly ever gets touched. What rooms are most important? Dare I say - how do I clean each room so it is really, really clean?

Living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are the most important in my book.

I seem to be forever sorting my cupboards in my kitchen, they still get messy.

I'm actually quite looking forward to it tomorrow to be honest. I've come to a point where I'm sick of looking at things and having no room for anything.
