Where to get a sink mat?

We have a new white ceramic sink which I will put a clear washing up bowl in. I want to have a clear or white mat in between the sink and the bowl to stop scratching. I had assumed I'd get one of those pebbley ones but I've been searching on amazon and they seem to stain almost immediately and trap food debris.

Can anyone recommend a good sink mat that hopefully wouldn't stain or trap yuckiness?

Try Lakeland?

Where do you get a clear washing up bowl, BTW?

The Lakeland ones have really bad reviews - one has over 50 complaints about staining!

The clear bowl is from an ebay-shop.

Their very nature means they get yucky and stained over time. The only way to avoid it is regular cleaning.

Does the bowl not have "feet" underneath? if it was raised a little off the sink it wouldn't scratch.

I wonder would something like these stay on and be waterproof enough?

If you still want a mat the plastic grid ones they sell on ebay are good for a year or two.

I like those 'bumpers'.

I haven't received the bowl yet but I don't think it has feet. The problem is that DH likes to do the washing up of an evening (I know, aren't I lucky) but he is hopeless at rinsing the bowl or sink. It would never cross his mind to do so. I am imganing there being bits in the sink and them being ground by the bowl. Part of the reason I am having a clear bowl is that it will be obvious if there is dirt underneath and thus I can give it a quick rinse when I pass.
