Children's cutlery.

Hello
I am looking for some good quality children's cutlery that doesn't have plastic handles. Just solid stainless steel, same as an adult set but smaller.
I did get a good set (2 spoons one large and a smaller one,a knife and a fork) from sainsbury's about five years ago but have not seen it sold since. It was surprisingly weighty and easy for the children to hold.
Thanks

I've seen some in Sainsbury's in past year, but I've not looked super-recently.

But I was in IKEA today and saw THIS - looked soid but fine if that makes sense!

We have the jungle set from here. Actually bought from TK Maxx but they are really sturdy and you can actually cut with the knife. www.viners.co.uk/childrens/cutlery.html

Oddly enough Poundland have a couple of excellent sets, that have forks with decent prongs so the kids can actually got food on them.

eBay have them!

I stole a set from USAir when DD was tiny, they were still giving out real stainless steel cutlery back then (pre-9/11) Blush. 14 years later, and they're the perfect size to pop in her lunchbox.

sorry that doesn't help. I had the insane urge to confess my crime! Grin

I also recommend Ikea ones - we have a couple of sets.

I just bought some from lidl. Lovely weight and a teaspoon, bigger spoon, knife and fork.

The best ones I have are from Dunelm Mill, set of 3 for £4 I think. Must go back for some more. Has lasted v.well and a great size for 3yo, 5yo and 8yo.

We had some from Lidl too. My friend got some after her DCs tried mine too.

Another vote for the ikea set.

Thanks for the Lidl recommendation, bought two sets this week & they're great. Esp at £2.79 each :)
