i have a small kitchen and the cupboards are overflowing. I have cleared all the crap I don't want or need but would love some ideas for making the best use of the limited space.

For baking trays, roasting tins and fairly flat things like that I use this Ikea concertina saucepan lid holder. They all stack up and I can see what I need and get it out with hardly any hassle at all.

I agree about the baskets. I've got one for flours, one for sugars, small one for nuts with another for dried fruits that fits on top, one for pasta/rices and probably more I can't think of right now. Inside them I just squash the bags in with clippy things to seal them.

For pull outs in base units, it is amazing how strong the Ikea utensil trays are given the price!

I also love these Ikea pull out trays that fit to the side of cupboards - really good for oils, vinegars, cleaning stuff etc and they leave space beside them for other larger things.

Ikea used to do an amazing simple cheap 2-part wire thing that went on either side of the cupboard and you could stack large trays on it. I used them for that purpose above baking trays for a really shallow extra shelf, and also use one part with hooks on inside the cleaning cupboard. They don't do them any more unless you can find one on ebay, but a towel rail fitted to the inside of a tall cupboard with hooks might make good use of otherwise wasted space above things.
