After a long day at work, I don't particularly fancy cleaning the house. I want to relax and watch tv, not do all the washing up dp refuses to do because it's 'not his job' because he is a man Hmm He has been home all day and cooked, but won't clean any pf it up! I have lots of sorting to do and cleaning of stuff. I don't mind that so much but need some motivation and energy.

Any tips or advice greatly appreciated :o

A swift kick up the behind should do the trick Grin

I say that but its sounds a similar scenario to Mr crumbs, so I say I will do the sorting and cleaning if he watches demon child DD. I win Grin.

Do you have a dishwasher?, if not save up for one - it will save your sanity, and if your DP can't manage to fill it during the day you are entitled to throw the damn plates at him!

More helpfullly - pick up clothes and put a wash on, pick up rubbish and empty bins. Move dirty cups and plates to kitchen and wash up.

Then sit down. Tidy toys away after DC are in bed while you watch tv.

I never understood why my DM would not sit down when she came in from work untill she had straightened the place up untill I had my own family. If you plough straight on with it, you end up with longer to chill out after than if you sit for a bit then do a job etc.

It's probably occurred to you that if your DP got a job, you could have more time at home for "woman's work", so why not point it out to the idle, selfish male?
