Yello poo stains on nappies - HELP

According to a locely Readers Digest book, I have 'cooked' the protein poo stain onto the nappy and it will be there for eternity! Is this true, or is there hope for removing the yellow ink blot test on my lovely cloth nappy.

(I have cleaned it in nappisan so its clean, just stained.)

Advice please?

Hanging out in sunlight usually worked for me.

Looks out at a murky february morning!

I had heard of the sunlight thing...

Also looks out at the overcast sky...

If it's a plain white nappy you can soak it in Milton then give it a wash. I found a cold rinse before washing kept yellow stains to a minimum.

Hang out, wet, in UV light. It works even if not direct sunlight.

Sunshine really does work magic Wink

Baby poo stains are UV dependent. Hang them on the washing line. It works and it's free. They're usually white so it's definitely not going to fade lol

i agree with sunlight.

dd1, born in april, always had lovely clean nappies cos they were dried on the line.

dd2, born in november, had nappies that were only ever dried indoors to begin with and they started to looked like they'd been soaked in turmeric. BUT come the spring and the washing line and the colour went and they were white again. and i wasn't just imagining it, because they were still stained where the pegs were, so the sunlight couldn't reach.
