Scrambled egg

Is there a magic way of cleaning scrambled egg from a pan or bowl (if microwaved). Despite adding washing up liquid & hot water immediately to soak & then putting through the dishwasher it still doesn't come off without elbow grease.
Is the only to do it straight away?

Our egg pans never come clean from the dishwasher.

I do mine in a decent non stick pan with some melted butter in, and wash by hand. It only takes a sec to wash up if the pan is non sticky IYSWIM

The trick is cold water, not hot. Stick it in the sink after you serve up, with cold water in it. Then when you tip the cold water out, the eggy bits from the sides will come away fairly easily.

Ah!

so that's the trick!

Cooking it slowly on a low heat helps prevent sticking too.

Thank you! I'd forgotten I'd asked until just now when deciding to give DD scrambled egg for lunch.
I don't own a non stick pan so may invest in a little one but in the meantime give cold water a try.

Hot water just bakes it on even more so deffo go with cold water. also agree to lower heat and constant stirring. I turn the heat off all together before the eggs are completely cooked, the reamaing heat fron the pan finish's them off

Pan + hot water + bio washing powder leave to soak has never failed me

I rinse the pan with cold water as soon as possible after cooking, usually even before I eat the egg. This gets most of it off, and then I soak it for a bit, rinse and either hand wash or put it in the dishwasher. It sounds much more time-consuming than it is, don't worry!
