How to improve bedroom lighting

We are currently doing our bedroom. It is a naturally dark room, with a low ceiling and small window. It is roughly square about 13 foot. We have bedside lamps and a central pendant light. But it always seems dingy, how can we improve the lighting? Is there anywhere IRL where you can get advice on this. Would a small chandelier type fitting spread the light around, a bit more? I am thinking that we will have another table lamp on wall facing the bed.

We have lots of little lights around the place in all our rooms.

kids bedroom -fairy lights and bedside lights for each child, plus central main light

our bedroom - central main light and bedside lamp as well as a standard lamp and pink coloured neon moveable neon tube by the computer,

Kitchen - 2 main paper lantern type celing lights, lamp with funky bulb and shade, plus chandalier, plus very naff but loveable hideous flower arrangement with fibre lights that change colour, we light candles and tealights for special meals - maybe once per fortnight

front room has wall lights, subtle lamp focussed on art, rock salt lamp thing behind the chairs, and task clip on light on the piano.

Sounds a bit overkill, but you can turn on what you need at any time to get the mood / light levels / effect you want.

you might be able to tell that I like lights!

An uplighter would give a nice effect in a bedroom. If you have room next to the bed, it could be a mother and child one.
