I only noticed after I washed it that it says DO NOT USE FABRIC CONDITIONER on the label!!!
I imagine it's because it's showerproof... but now it's too late and it is soaking up water... any ideas on how I can re-coat it with something shower proof?? any sprays I can buy or in wash things??
arghghghgh!
Thanks, Isobel

this should do the job dont use sprays as they can darken the fabric and can be a bit tricky to do evenly.

water repellent fabrics used in the mountains or afloat that have been "contaminated" with fab soft or excess soap or detergent, can be cold-washed with water only to get it out.

However I am surprised if a blazer is made of water repellent fabric. Is it like a plastic anorak? If it is a wool-mix or acrylic, washing it again will only make it wear out faster.

If you use Nikwax you have to buy the washing product and use that first - you will also need to remove and rinse the washing powder drawer of your washing machine. Then you use the proofing agent.
