Cost of a cleaner

Hi everyone,
I am mum to a 7mo old and going back to work full time in 3 months. I am not coping with keeping our 3-bed 1970s standard house clean currently and so am hoping to get a cleaner upon my return to work. We live in Oxford.

Anyone else have a cleaner in/around the mid south of England and know roughly how much it costs? I don't know how many hours I would need yet...will need to get some advice on that.

Thanks

We have a 3 bed house and a cleaner. She comes once a week and cleans for 3 hours at £10 an hour. We don't time her, though - sometimes the house is already pretty clean and she gets done faster, sometimes it's messier and takes longer so it all evens out. I buy all the cleaning materials.

About £10per hour is good for Oxford! I pay £11.50 for S oxon

Swindon - £8 to cleaner, £2 to agent per hour

Cheltenham - 10 pounds to cleaner and 2 pounds to the company.

Kent - £9 an hour for a lady who irons, cleans. Or should I say ironed and cleaned. I decided to let her go after Christmas as she was only doing an hour a week of ironing which, as I only work part time, I could do myself.

When I got the iron out for the first time in years, my DS age 4 said "What is that Mummy?" Grin
