And were prepared to pay what it takes to get a good one, duck or goose, feather or down or a mixture?

And is there a difference between one duck down duvet and another?

Same question for pillows too if you can please.

I found IKEA pillows to actually be ridiculously comfortable.

We have a down (I think it's down) duvet and it was from Tesco, cost about £40.

I love it.

Def pure down, but I don't know further than that.

Latex Dunlopillo all the way for pillows. Everything else goes flat and yuck

for pillows I would suggest an hollow fibre pillow (you can get nice ones at IKEA) they wash well should they need it and don't go lumpy.

for duvet I would use a down/feather combo and would look for one that is washable. I have a 13 tog one from IKEA and just love it. dh only has a 6 tog one but that would not be enough for me.

pure down ones are riduculously expensive, a mix of down and feathers brings the price down a bit.

John Lewis Hungarian goose down. Light as a feather yet warm as toast!

I'm looking at new duvets just now too.

TK Maxx have got some great Siberian Goose down duvets and other ranges too. The one i am most interested in though is a John Lewis "Breathe" duvet which is a 4 tog and a 9.5 tog. It's quite expensive at £160 but I figure that we deserve a good duvet to sleep under and on a coat per use basis it will work out at mere pennies Grin

Hungarian goose down - just got a loveeeely one from the duvet and pillow warehouse for £100

Then goose down, then feather down. Anything with more than 10% feather feels nasty.

Have tried many over the years from John Lewis goose to cheap Argos ones. Another vote for IKEA - lovely comfortable pillows that can be washed - same goes for their duvets.

I agree the latex dunlopillows are excellent. Keep their shape for years. Expensive but wise economy. I'm going to have to replace mine as we had s house fire but we will definitely replace them like for like!
