Radiators- dried mud..

What works best on cleaning radiators?? My dogs shake all their mud (amazing projectile aim!!!) and splash all over them, that dries on their brilliant white surface, and I cant shift them!!!
Any good products out there?

if it is just mud, then (when the radiators are cold) sponge it off with water and a drop of WUL.

If the rads have been hot, it may have been baked on, but not enough that it will not soften.

If necessary you can use a nylon pan scourer, but this will speed the time when they need repainting.

I use hot water with washing up liquid and a splash of bleach in. I use this to clean all of my paintwork and radiators, I have 4 labs so its an ongoing battle in this house!

I use a microfibre cloth, rub it over once with the cloth fairly wet (not so it drips on the carpets) and then go back over it a couple of minutes later with the cloth tightly wrung out and with a rub it goes. Soapy water will do it just fine but I think the bleach stops it from staining and also that 'mud' they come home covered in contains God only knows what!! Grin

As the radiators are almost always on in this house (!!!) it's baked in if not engraved!! Bleach will be a logical addition.. I have 4 alsatians- with long coats!! The pan scourer will also be used.. thanks!!

Why not dry the dogs off before they enter the house

cute

I would have though vim or jif may be good to get the mud off.
