We're swapping bedrooms so are having to sort out the floordrobe, box room and attic...
There is just so much stuff!! :(

TBH I just want to burn it all. But I have so many clothes that cost me so much money... So instead I want to sell it. But that isnt really a quick solution (will have to go on ebay, no car to carboot) and keeps getting put off anyway.

Shoes. Lovely high heels that have been worn once or twice. Cant bear to part with them, but the way I'm going, the attic is going to fall through.

Then there are baby clothes. Yet I mention to my parents (who have been helping decorate and moaning about all the stuff) that I'm going to sell everything after DS2 is born and they complain that things are "gifts" Hmm

Then we have the random crap. My DHs various collections of things, CDs, DVDs, the shit loads of toys that my DS had for xmas as well as the piles he already had (hes the first baby in my generation, so lots of second hand toy gifts from "well meaning" family...)

I wish I had a new house, and had never bought anything. I wish I could start from scratch.
Most of all, I wish whingey people would understand how difficult this humongous task is when 6m pregnant and with a toddler!!

Moan over, but help!!

When ebaying stuff I never tried to do it all in one go.
I found it useful to photo things and make notes about the items (description, condition etc) as I photographed them. They were then folded neatly and went into a large plastic box so they were nice and safe from the kids etc.

Then I'd spend time writing up the descriptions in word at another time.

Then I'd list on ebay and everything would be ready and sorted. Handy for when they suddenly announced a free listing day.

If things didn't go on the first time of listing and weren't too expensive then they were swapped to another bag for the charity.

As for baby clothes, when I dragged everything down from the loft after having DD2 I found that a lot of it was not of much use. The fact that my 2 were born in different seasons meant that things winter things fitted in summer etc. If things are branded (Next, mothercare etc) then they can be worth sticking on ebay. If v small sizes then bundles of basics went quite well. Again...anything not sold on the first listing went to the charity.
