Bin bags.....

Does anybody know of a good place to get black bin bags? All the ones I can find seem to be either ridiculously expensive, or so thin that they split if you put anything heavier than a couple of lettuce leaves inside. Any recommendations? Smile

i get ours from the local 'sell everything dirt cheap' shop, the one that has plastic boxes outside - i think all towns have them Grin they're super thick bags though and about a pound

How expensive is expensive to you.

I have bought 20 Extra large bin bags with tie handles from sainsbury's for £3.69. But I end up using twice as many of the smaller/ thinner ones, so end up spending nearly twice as much.

Anything more than 10p per bag is expensive to me! They're just going straight in the bin after all!! I'll try the discount shops and see what I can find. Why do they all have plastic boxes outside? Hmm Grin

I recently started usIng the ones from Home Bargains, like previous post I found myself using twice as many cos the supermarket ones split at the mere sight of rubbish! They are tie handle and were 10 for £1.20 ish. You do need to be a little bit gentle when tying but other than that they're great!

I keep hearing about this Home Bargains place - I'll have to check if they have a store near me!

Tesco Value Swing-Bin Liners are approx black bin-liner size, 40 for about 50p. I use two together for household rubbish - tie tops separately - and they're good for a month if necessary.
