Black marks on white shirt collars....

Nothing more annoying than ironing a whole shirt only to discover the black mark on the very edge of the collar. What is causing this? Could it be my tumble drier? Happens most times.

do you mean where it has rubbed on the neck? Use one of the laundry sprays or gels before washing. Also on cuffs. Oil from the skin makes dirt stick at these points. BTW Persil non-bio really is the best for white shirts.

if not, black marks sometimes come from mould on the rubber seal of the washer door.

Look at the shirts before you wash them just in case the wearer is doing something to cause it.

No not the neck dirt. It's always on the corner of the collar. Possibly the washer door yes! Will check. Thankyou. Xmas Grin

ah, I think I know what you mean. It might have rubbed off the bottom of the iron.
