I like the look of them and I am working with a small room. Am wondering if they are proper beds or really just intended for occasional use.

We recently did a makeover of my youngest daughter. We got rid of the double bed that was swamping the room and got this www.bedsonlegs.co.uk/acatalog/3__Single_Penny_Guest_Bed_in_White.html We put a good mattress on that they sold on both beds and when my other daughter comes home from uni still has a comfy sleep. They do good day beds too.

They are a good price and very pretty. Thank you.

My son has the Ikea Hemnes day bed as his permanent bed. He has a decent mattress on it and it's extremely comfortable and 2 metres long. His likes that during the day it's a sofa with loads of cushions on it.

Smartypants, can I ask how old your son is? My daughter is a tall 8-year-old and I'm wondering how long it will work for.

Yes you may Xmas Grin

He's 13. But I have slept in it (5ft 7) and it's v comfortable/roomy, extends to make a really good double too.

We just went to ikea and will be purchasing that same day bed! It comes with 2 mattresses and is extendable to a double. My dh is 6ft2 and laid down on it! Smile think it's pretty. Have a friend who's got it too.

Dd (10) has chosen the Hemnes day bed from the catalogue. Good to hear such good reviews :)
