storing jumpers and tops for wearing

I'm a dab hand at putting tops and jumpers away for long term seasonal storage, but when I want clothes ready to wear I hang them all up in a wardrobe and we just don't have the hanging space anymore and everything is getting scrunched up in the wardrobe. So, I have some half empty drawers, but in the past whenever I've tried to store freshly ironed tops, shirts, jumpers they always emerge wrinkled in some way (which is why I opted for the always-hang-em-up option). So, what can I do? Lie them flat and layer tissue paper between?

for long-term seasonal storage, those big plastic boxes with lids are good. You have to iron things for folding, which is different to ironing for hanging. Think of a new shirt in a packet and have the front flat and unfolded, with the arms folded in from behind, and the sides and tail folded over. You can do jumpers and tops the same way.

I like to put a mothproofer (chemical not cedar) in each box, just in case. The modern ones smell of lavender not mothballs and contain tranfluthrin.

Some people like to put a scent bottle in the box when it's finished, the residual smell will permeate the clothes if the lid's on.
