Can you recommend one?

And do you use yours a lot?

Any of the panasonic ones, I use mine a couple of times a week but that's because I dont eat loads of bread, a loaf and a batch of rolls is plenty for me.

Dh only eats sliced bread.

smileitssunny · 11/12/2011 13:42

Morphy Richards , I use mine every day. Also has 2 year guarantee.

Quodlibet · 11/12/2011 13:45

Yes I love ours. We go through phases of using it more and less but it's so so easy and makes really delicious bread. I reckon on average we use it once every ten days.

Quodlibet · 11/12/2011 13:45

Oh, and we haven't bought shop-made pizza since we got it, because pizza made from bread machine dough is so so so much nicer.

gregssausageroll · 11/12/2011 13:47

Thanks. Will have a look at both makes.

Panasonic one- use it a lot including for cakes (does fantastic tea loaf) and brioche.
Am wary re gadget purchases but this one been great

FrigidHare · 11/12/2011 14:55

Panasonic here, used every day by DH.

EatMeDates · 11/12/2011 15:03

I started a thread a while ago and virtually everyone recommended the expensive Panasonic one (£140). I've researched them loads online and this does seem to be the only one that gets consistently good reviews.

Panasonic, at least once a day, twice in the summer.

dexter73 · 11/12/2011 17:52

Panasonic - mine is about 12+ years old and gets used about 5 times a week. Love it!

FrigidHare · 11/12/2011 18:30

I'd like to put mine in the cupboard, but it's out more than it's in. It does take about 5 hours to do a loaf from start to finish, so bear that in mind if you work full time. You'd need to put it on at a reasonable time. We tend not to leave our bread in the machine once it's done as we thought it shrunk in the steam when left in.

gardeningsarah · 11/12/2011 18:39

Panasonic here also. Love it, never had a bad loaf.

dexter73 · 11/12/2011 19:37

I use the rapid programme which is 1 hour 55 minutes for a white loaf.

Lilymaid · 11/12/2011 19:41

We've had a Panasonic for over 10 years. For the ordinary daily loaf we bake overnight - put the timer on and it finishes cooking when we get up - so we wake to a lovely aroma of bread.
It is also good for pizza dough, focaccia, brioche and other speciality breads.

JWIM · 12/12/2011 06:45

Panasonic here too. When we were pondering the choice in a well known department store another customer walking past just said ' We have the Panasonic and would highly recommend it' and then carried on walking!

Used here at the weekend mainly and I put the mix in on the timer and wake up to fresh baked bread aroma. Can recommend the Hovis Granary bread mix too.
