Any tips? Mine always seem to be covered in a kind of sticky baked on film. I'm always buying cheap ones so I don't feel do bad when they get so bad I have bin them.

MILs are always perfect. I dont know how she does it, I just bung mine in the dishwasher after using kitchen roll to soak up fat.

I use asda smartprice ones now, as good as any other really.

If they're not too badly cooked on - just a bit too difficult for the dishwasher (electric or person!) then stick them in the bath with lots of biological washing powder overnight. The water looks disgusting but the clever enzymes have 'eaten' all the grease
