Any thoughts? Anyone have one they love or loathe? I have been recommended a Mitsubishi one for about £200 but would love the MN views... TIA

I have a delonghi one, it is an older model now but is brilliant. Very effective and simple to use! Also not to heavy if you need to move it about. It cost around £120 about 2 years ago. Dries a full load of washing overnight, even towels and bed linen. HTH

Thanks, Parker! That sounds just like the kind of thing we need.

You need to spend your £200 on a tumble drier Wink

Had my eyes on this one for just over £100, has good reviews.

I would love a tumble dryer, Valium, but sadly we can't fit one in anywhere, even by losing a kitchen cupboard. Am hoping this will help...

Thanks, Pin - that looks good and really good price.

Mitsubishi brilliant imo

How do you dry washing with a dehumidifier? How do running costs compare with a tumble dryer?

ParkerRocks · 02/12/2011 17:37

Grockle- I just hang laundry on an airer and shut the dehumidifier in a small room, either guest bedroom or utility area. DH looked into running costs and it was a lot cheaper than a tumble drier! plus it helps with condensation in the winter and makes the house feel warmer purely because it takes the damp out of the air!

Loving my ebac 2650e but I have nothing to compare it to. I'm only 2 weeks in and still experimenting to find the most quick & efficient way of using it to dry laundry but it certainly does the job.

Thanks, everyone.

I use an electric heated airer from Lakeland. It's great and really cheap to run. Costs about £70. If you put a towel/sheet/coat etc over the top it creates a tent full of heat and things dry even more quickly.
