Getting reflux out of the carpet!

Our lounge carpet is old, and we could really do with a new one. However, DD2 (7 months) is a big refluxer so pretty pointless getting anything new for a while.

In the meantime, does anyone have any tips for tackling the stains/smell caused by the reflux spills? Normal carpet cleaners don't seem to tackle it very well, and harsh cleaners tend to discoulour our carpet and make it look even mankier than it really is.

Bicarbonate of soda sprinkled onto dry carpet leave overnight and then vacuum up will help with the odour.

Try Vanish. It's for laundry but if you spray on, leave a few minutes then blot up with a wet cloth it might work Find it very good for all manner of spills & stains.
