How do I stop my jumpers being bobbly?

I've got a couple of jumpers which appear to develop bobbles/balls of fluff that then fall off - any way to stop it?

dont wash them with towels. I found it makes a difference.

If they do get bobbly, flatten them out and use a razor to shave the bobbles off.

Is there any way to stop the bobbles developing throughout the day?

I think some materials do this more than others. I have 1 cardi that was so bad I never wore it. Tend to stick to cotton (takes a long time to bobble) or cashmere (bobbles more quickly but more gorgeous). I find they bobble in places that rub, so not sure how to stop it.

They bobble through friction so unfortunately there's not much you can do to prevent them bobbling when you're wearing them, although using fabric conditioner may help a bit.

When washing though use a really gentle cycle or hand wash so that they're not getting treated as roughly and so friction is minimised. IME fine knits, particularly if they're part cotton bobble less and when they do, it's not as noticeable as with chunkier yarns.
