Drying the washing

My back yard is very shady, I have no tumble dryer,(Can't afford one).
We are starting to get lots of condensation on the windows now it is getting colder. I usually hang the washing on airers in the house if the weather is not great. It is a sunny day today but back yard is in shade.
We get no sun in yard in winter. (Sun too low to get over houses, surrounded by terrace houses)
I suppose I have a couple of questions:
Would it be pointless to hang washing in a shady yard?
Or better to hang it indoors in a sunny window? Confused
If I hang washing indoors will the house get damp?
Do you think I should get a dehumidifier as we are getting condensation?

What do you do?

TIA

If you do put clothes on the radiators and on airers you must open a window, just a little in each room where there is washing, otherwise you will get condensation and damp/mould, there needs to be some ventilation in the room. Can you go to the laundrette and stick it all in the tuble dryer? We have a tumble dryer but it's broken and can't afford to fix it. This is what I do.

A dehumidifier will stop the damp and dry clothes quickly. MIL always put the washing out and then finished it off on the peggy spiders and radiators.
I put sheets over the doors overnight and they do dry well.

You can put washing out any time, as long as it's dry - quick way of deciding whether the washing will dry - are the paving slabs dry or damp? If they're dry, the washing will dry, even if it's cloudy/shady etc. Also, you can dry outside even if it's really cold - they won't get bone dry, but it'll take the worst off so you have less drying to do indoors. Also - once the washing machine is finished, try spinning the clothes again - it takes a bit more water out, and again means less drying to do indoors.
