Is there an equivalent to the 'Oven Man' for washing machines?

Our Bosch washing machine is about 10 years old. Still works, but I feel it needs a good clean/service.

I clean out the drawer etc, but it now doesn't seem to be using the conditioner from the middle section - a watered down version is still there after the wash finishes.

Am I looking at an expensive service (how much?), or is there another option?

Dh is not sure it's worth it, if it's going to to cost £££, but I hate disposing of relatively good items.

Run it on a boil wash with biological soap powder in there, that should work.

Take the drawer out & remove all the gunk with an old toothbrush.

It's not just the drawer that needs cleaning. Take the drawer out and look above where the drawer sits. See if the holes there are blocked and give them a good clean too

I got a box of gubbins from Lakeland which seems to have done the business on ours. The box does two cleans.

Oh and I put the drawer in the dishwasher on hot and that cleaned that bit really well.

Oh yes, Hagesan do a product that cleans washing machines, you are right. I think that's what Lakeland stock but you can get it online as well. I have used it in the machine in the cottage, which is probably older than I am.

I think it's called Hagesan service engineer.
