I burned some beans in a pan and despite going through the dishwasher several times it is still a bit gross. What about Coke? Do you just put coke in the pan or boil the coke?

V hot water and a scoop of bio washing powder works for me. Just pour in and let it soak

Or simmer it for a while with some sodium bicarb - maybe a tbsp in enough water it won't boil dry (and covers the burnt bits).

What brighthair said. With bells on.

Soda crystals and boiling hot water, then let it soak overnight. Failing that ... what brighthair said - bio washing powder.

Never tried it, but it is pretty acidic so might help. If I wanted to give it a whirl I'd probably leave it to soak for a few hours and then prod the burns and see if they're shifting - if not then heat it up and see what happens. If the saucepan's trashed as is you're not going to loose anything...

I use astonish household paste on burnt pans and it works great.
