Washing covers of Phil and Teds in the washing machine

Has anyone used their maching maching to wash the covers of their pram (in this case the Phil and Teds Dash). The advice on the Phil and Teds website just says to sponge down with hot soapy (mild) water but frankly that has not got the smell of vom(!) out. I figure the washing machine wouldbe the best bet. Any thoughts?

I've never put in the washing machine but i have hand washed, fully soaked in water with washing powder etcno problem.. Next time I'll be doing it in the washing machine (cool wash just in case) unless someone comes along to say Noooooo, don't do it! Grin

Gentle/wool cycle or handwash prog if your machine has one?

That's what I'd do

I've washed mine in the washing machine but after I'd done it I read the P and T instructions to sponge clean as it has a waterproof backing. It doesn't seem to have been a problem though as the raincover covers the whole pushchair (E3) and it did look lovely and clean when I did it. The other option is pressure washing, had you considered that one ?

hiya :) did mine lastnight. the doubles seat was fine, as was the hood. but the main seat unit/footwell would be better sponge cleaned, or possibly machine washed but not thru the spin cycle, as the wadding in the seat has gone all lumpy (like pillows do!) did mine at 40 degrees with bio powder and conditioner. take heed though - dont leave putting the covers back on til half an hour before the school run....

I've also done the doubles seat, but I couldn't work out how to get the main seat off - so I sprayed it with detergent and then hosed it down in the garden (to get rid of the wee!) and left it to drip dry!

Have done ours in the washing machine. Handwashed previous one and it never quite got everything out. Is a hassle unscrewing and unclipping everything mind.
