How does one remove poo from a towel?

My 5 month old pooed on a lilac-coloured towel during a nappy change. I know I was asking for trouble by having the towel underneath her, but how do I remove the stain?

I immediately put the towel in a bucket of cold water, then put it in the washing machine on a cold wash using ecover washing liquid but the stain is still there.

You can't use bleach on a coloured towel, it will trash it.

Napisan is amazing. I love it. Didn't know that hot water fixed the wee smell though (and I've been using clothies since DS was born, he's 3 now - and still wedded to his nappies )

budgie yes, i would!

we have a huge pile of terry squares that have been used as nappies and are now used as general wiping up cloths. that includes wiping hands and faces of grubby children (and adults where necessary)

they have been washed for goodness sake... why would it be a problem?

if you get dog poo on your shoes would you bin them? if your child's nappy leaked onto their clothes would you bin the clothes?

actually, maybe don't answer that

As long as it's not your only towel, chuck it. Life's too sort to be getting rid of poo stains from towels!
