Turmeric stain removal, please help!

It's always your favourite top isn't it? I never blooming learn!
It's currently soaking in stain remover of the £ shop variety. I read online that lemon juice then a strong salt solution would work.
Failing that should I get some Vanish or something better?
I'm so sad and annoyed. I guess keeping the stain wet and not in hot water at least gives me a chance :(

There are a lot of ideas if you google: This one suggests cool water and soap.

Tbh, I've started to realise that ordinary soap (eg a bar of hand soap or fairy liquid or similar) seems to do as good a job or better than specialised stain removers.

I guess it'll depend on the colour/type of fabric how successful you'll be at getting rid of it.

You could try this

I'll have a go with some fairy it's a stripey top on the cream stripe of course!

Actually that might be a good thing as the cream stripe hopefully won't fade too much (if at all) if you try the sun bleaching thing.

I'd try hanging it up to dry in sunlight (sunlight? Wot's that? ), after washing with soap before you use anything stronger on it. I know that even strong daylight was amazing at bleaching out newborn poo stains, which are about the colour of turmeric come to think of it when I was using cloth nappies.

Ah good thinking! When the sun does shine- it will one day! I'll definitely try that. I've rubbed some fairy on it. Hopefully that will help. Our washing machine has just gone bang so goodness knows when I'll be able to wash it now!

Well, I live in Glasgow and weirdly was able to bleach out stains through glass, in winter on a fairly cloudy day - the sun is made of strong stuff! So I'd definitely hang it up in direct light, pref outside if it's not tipping down, now that you've washed it and give it a go.

Usually these things work best if you get the stain when it's fairly fresh.

bicarbe of soda. Never tried it myself but apparently it can do almost everything including soothing cystitas!!

Sunlight - did you try it today? Also works wonders on lily pollen.

It has been hanging out in the sun today at MIL's. Washing machine went bang- literally so had to dry a load or 3 at her house

I brushed the curtain accidentally with Lilly pollen, I got the Hoover out attached upholstery nozzle and it sucked it up. I was very proud of myself!

I got curry stains out of DH's new White tshirt by leaving it in conservatory on a cloudy day last week and it worked great. I have been known to put DS's bibs on the parcel shelf of the car when he was little too.
