Washing up liquid!

how bad is it? what are you trying to clean from it? just daily dirt of thick limescale?

if just light dirt then i wouldn't use washing up liquid tbh as it's not really meant for humans to be swimming in it. I'd use whatever shampoo/body wash you've already got. It's meant to break down the exact same dirt from your body and not harm you so that's the safest option imo. It'll also smell nice

Thanks both. Just normal run of the mill bath muckiness. Anyway, picked up something in Aldi which seems to have worked. Just had new bath preciousness that there were some things you were not supposed to use.

on a plastic bath i wouldn't worry too much. it should be protected and i doubt even something like harpic will do any damage to the bath (though it may to your skin if not washed away properly). i'd say make sure you don't use a strong sponge (the ones with the green top) as this may do more damage.

should consider the shampoo/body wash idea. i know it sounds silly but just think it's designed to get the same dirt off of your body no reason it can't in a bath tub. Aldi products i'd be concerned what it is in the bottle. it possibly even says wear gloves when using this products, where as you know with shampoo it's got to be ok to go on your skin.

Ive used shower gel to clean the bath too and i agree it does work well.

Weirdly, had to clean bath twice last night [faint] and tried the shampoo method and it worked!

I always do that. If you clean the bath after every use it won't take much cleaning either.
