Roomba Recommendations?

I'd love one, but at the cost I need to make sure I'm looking at something that's worth the money.

Downstairs is all wooden floors or tiles, and we have dogs and cats, which means a lot of sweeping. Would a Roomba be a good idea, to keep on top of the fur?

Thanks. :)

ours works ok on hard (wood) floors.

more cornflakes and raisins than pet hairs though! but it saves me sweeping.

it is happy to go from hard floor to rug too - sorts itself out, ambles round happily.

mine has been a lifesaver, wouldn't be without it. I also have a Scooba, which is equally miraculous (espiecially now we ahve a LOT of hard floors...)

Thanks for that. Is there a particular model that you'd recommend? What's a Scooba?

Thanks again!

Our roomba is great for hard floors and getting under sofas with little legs.
You have to empty it often.
Cheapest model from John Lewis, can't remember the name.

we have wooden floors as well
I got a roomba a few yrs ago , didn't get on with it and ended up selling it on ebay.
Got quite a good resale price on ebay .

Just found it easier to get the hoover out as roomba left annoying bits undone and kept getting stuck.

I htink ours is something lie a 580. one of the 500 series, anyway. I never use the lighthouse (always forget - I just stick it in a room and shut the door - just as effective!), and have never used the scheduler either.

Scooba is the mop version.

It does need emptying often - after each room, really. but easy and quick to do.

mine doesnt have too much of an issue with getting stuck.
