Cleaning tiles and Grout?

CJMommy · 11/05/2011 10:53

What's the best thing to use?
The shower tiles and grout in between desperately needs a good clean - What's the best product (and one that requires minimum effort Grin)?

Thanks

Tub and Tile by Method. It gets rave reviews on here and is in my cupboard as we type.

If I ever get off my botty, I may even use it Grin

For the grout -- old toothbrush and bleach. Anti-dandruff shampoo works for the orange discolouration you sometimes see, but the old toothbrush must be employed.

For the tiles, elbow grease and anything with a little ammonia.

I use dettol mould and mildew remover - spray it on and leave it to work before cleaning it off

Any anti-dandruff shampoo math? Never heard that one before but we have orange stains so might try it one day.

I discovered it by accident. I believe dandruff is caused by a fungus so it makes sense (sort of).

diluted white vinegar great for tiles, as is good old fashioned stardrops. Bleach and toothbrush or dettol mould and mildew remover as already mentioned for grout

Tiles: Tub n Tile - it smells wonderful.

For grotty shower grout: Domestos Grotbuster. Run it along the grout lines. leave for much longer than the 5mins it says. Scrub with tooth brush, rinse. Gleaming white grout appears and mould spores etc are vanished :)

Thanks you all!
Don't suppose I can put it off any longer Grin
