How do I wash a goose down combed duvet?

We've just taken DD's night time nappy off and she is having the odd accident. I need to wash her duvet (this one from The White Company: www.thewhitecompany.com/productdetails.aspx?Id=2000134&ItemNo=GOOSEDUVET-MASTER&SelectedItem=GOOSEDUVET-MASTER)? The website says 'machine washable' but the instructions have come off. What do you recommend - 30 degrees, normal cycle?

NB Thanks to the MNers who suggested putting mattress protector/sheet/mattress protector/sheet on the mattress - makes changing things in the night much faster!

The problem is not cleaning (30C and normal seems OK) but drying it. If you don't have a tumbler don't do it yourself and give it to a laundry which will have the proper equipment.

If you have a dryer take the time to dry thoroughly or it will stink, you need to put balls in the dryer to fluff the duvet at the same time.

I would go to the laundrette and change to a synthetic duvet while she is training.

Good luck

Thanks.

I do have a dryer, which is new and very efficient. What do you mean by balls?

You can buy tumbledry balls in Lakeland but tennis balls work too or something heavy to thump the down like clean trainers.

Thanks. I'm going to have to get some of those next time I'm in the UK -couldn't find any in my local French supermarket. Will keep looking!

Our local laudrette do a duvet in one day return at a cheap as chips price. So annoyed that I haved payed dry cleaners prices before when she only charged £8 for a superking.
