nothing works IMO, i ended up making sure there was a big enough gap to get a brush/vacuum hose in there

stop throwing it down there? Wink

no, seriously, i don't think food regularly falls down the side of my cooker. i must be super careful, which is odd cos i'm not with anything else

DP is the chef most of the time - and he's a bloody good cook.

However he is one of those large men for whom the rest of the world is simply too small and fiddly - hence mess.

Considering lining the gaps between the cooker and cupboards with tin foil for ease of filth removal.

Was hoping to be pointed to some wonder-gadjet from lakeland or something Grin

ahhh... built in hob. that's what you need lol

but actually, tin foil would work!

although, i think it's your DP who ought to be asking this question, after all, if he is the one making the mess he ought to be cleaning it up

StuckinTheMiddlewithYou · 05/05/2011 19:41

Oh he'll be cleaning it up!

Just wondering if there was a magic solution/preventative measure.

I have this problem. Am thinking of buying a thick piece of wood ( same colour as my cupboards) from wikes and putting it down the side x

There are things that you can get to join the counter and the hob together. Let me see if I can find them on the net.

wandawings · 08/06/2011 18:06

Oh poop. Can someone fix the link for me please?

GooGooMuck · 09/06/2011 06:47

I'm a bit sad as I had invented exactly that product in my mind.... Can't buy it here though?

tvfriend · 09/06/2011 06:56

I have definitely seen the things in that link and I'm sure it must have been in Lakeland but not on their website (could email them?). Can't imagine where else I would have seen it. We have about a 1cm gap either side of our oven. I try not to think about what's down there...
