Garments that have been worn once, but are not 'dirty'

eg. they don't smell of body odour and haven't any spills or marks on them. (I'm thinking more of cardigans, jumpers and trousers than vest tops etc).. What do you do with yours?

I'm loath to put them back in the drawers, with all the other fresh clean stuff (I know moths can be attracted to even traces of grease or sweat on clothes in drawers). But I find I leave them out around my bedroom until I want to wear them again, which looks terrible.

Not really practical to always wear things until they are properly dirty, as I like to and often need to change outfits to do different things during the day or on subsequent days.....

so how do you do this??

headfairy · 25/04/2011 20:05

back in the wardrobe with all my other crumpled grubby clothes

How often do you change your clothes in a day? I only change when I get puked or crapped on, and even then only if I'm going to be seen in public :o

put on chair

Quodlibet · 25/04/2011 20:06

They are stored on the Piling Chair!

We each have a small wicker basket in our room to put not yet dirty, not clean clothes. Sounds more organised than it is though as inevitably every available space gets covered in clothes, clean and dirty. But a good idea in theory.

Clothes purgatory: on chair in bedroom until worn again or irredeemably crumpled, whereupon washed and ironed anyway Grin

isw · 25/04/2011 20:14

My stuff on chair, DC stuff I have the rule of its clean enough to be worn again, its clean enough togo back in the drawer. I feels wrong but I can´t cope with the piles of stuff in their rooms

AngelDog · 25/04/2011 21:00

Back in the wardrobe - or on a chair to be worn the next day.

TheVisitor · 25/04/2011 21:01

Chair. Grin

We have those hooks that hang over the top of the door. We have 2 hooks each and those inbetween clothes go there. It doesn't look amazing but it does look tidier than kicking about all over the bedroom.

I used to hang them at one end of my wardrobe (separated from the other clothes with the spare hangers), but don't have enough room in there anymore so have to use my chairdrobe

mrspear · 26/04/2011 14:23

on hooks behind bedroom door

HalleluiaScot · 26/04/2011 19:25

I drape them on the end of my bed, on the ironing board, or over our landing rails.

Selks · 26/04/2011 19:34

pile on the chair. not totally satisfactory, but I don't like the idea of putting them back in the cupboard / wardrobe again.....weird.

Beamur · 26/04/2011 19:36

I have a chair.
Sadly I also have clothes moths. Grrr. If anyone has a foolproof way of getting rid of them, I'd love to hear it.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 26/04/2011 19:42

Why on earth would you not put them back in the wardrobe / drawers?

How dirty are you that your clothes can't go back amongst the freshly washed stuff? Do you not shower???
