I have a LeCreuset which despite following the cleaning rules, has charred food and the finish on it is now shite and food sticks to it. I'm thinking of writing a letter of complaint to them, but have had it a couple of years so they may just laugh at me.

The sort of things we fry are, steaks (rarely and no pun intended), onions, peppers, chicken for faj''s, mushrooms, almost always with olive oil. We have a ceramic hob if that makes any difference.

This thread is a bit old now, but we’ve recently refreshed our best frying pan guide with plenty of Mumsnetter-approved options. We hope you find it useful.

maybe buy a griddle pan instead?

I have a leCreuset one (which I cannot lift) so can't help you on that.

PS.Did you use LeCreuset's pot & pan cleaner?

If you contact LC I'm sure they will recommend using their own cleaner.

Barkeepers friend or Astonish Multi-purpose cleaning paste might work.

We have a brilliant one called RUN that we bought at the county show last year. It is mega-non stick, weighs a TON and is absolutely brilliant!
