Cleaning rota and cost saving tips

Hi
I have just spent my days holiday from work cleaning. I wont to start a rota for me and my DH for keeping up to date with the general cleaning and maybe use holiday days when DS is at nursery to do extras like the oven etc.

Any ideas?

I also need to cut back on my bills and was thinking does anyone know how much electric a dishwasher uses compared to hand washing. I was thinking of doing a dish washer wash every other day and hand washing any left overs but i know my DH will need convincing of this.

Any other cost saving tips?
I have just watered down my detol.

Thanks

I use value cream cleaner, multisurface cleaner and dishcloths and furniture polish and bio powder.

Vinegar in the kettle de scales in minutes, value range vinegar of course!.

You can also use vinegar as fabric softner. I use the same amount as you would softner.

Two dessert spoons of soda crystals makes washing really soft and shifts grease.

Energy effiecient (sp?) dishwashers use much less water than washing up by hand. We fill ours during the day and put it on after dinner.
Value range dishwasher tabs work fine, again I chuck a couple of spoons of soda crystals in.

I have a clean home for literally pennies, I cannot believe I used to spend so much. E.g I used to use shiny sinks, now I use basic cream cleaner at 29p or so and turtle wax my sink! Nothing sticks to it and it takes minutes to do.
