Removing grease stain....HELP!

I have a gorgeous top, only polyester like chiffon but still I love it! I only wore it once and it has 2 small grease stains :-( It has been to the cleaners but they are still there and they said further treatment may affect the colour. But to be honest I'm never going to wear it with stains so anything is worth a try. So any ideas will be gratefully received. Thanks x (have fingers crossed hoping for some magic tip!)

Try a gentle lukewarm handwash with washing up liquid as a pre wash stain remover.

The only material I'm precious about drycleaning is viscose because it shrinks so as long as it's not viscose should be ok.

Am off to try that now, stands to reason really!!! gets rid of grease on dishes lol never crossed my mind thank you will let you know how I get on (if you're intrested!)

Long shot - but how about dissolving the grease with meths and blotting the meths out a few times, then washing the garment?

You need to put the washing up liquid on neat when the fabric is dry. Then give it a gentle rub just with your finger before washing in warm water. Don't rub fabric to fabric.

Will give the meths a go, I tried the washing up liquid neet before washing but may give it another go. So annoyed with myself it's not often I find clothes that I really love!

Lay some brown paper over the stain and iron it on hot. It should get it out.

Lay the top flat on an ironing board.

Sprinkle the stain generously with talcum powder.

Leave overnight.

Brush off in the morning.

I have had remarkable success with this method.

will this work as the grease is old, I did not realise it was there! Will still give all suggestions a go, esp as hubby is ironing right this min!!!

I bought some stain devil/Dr Beckmans or similar grease and oil remover - in tiny little bottles.

Works on stains even if they've been washed several times!
