Duvets duvets duvets !

Need to buy 2 single duvets for my boys' bunk beds. The present ones they have spend the entire time moving to the bottom of the duvet cover so you have to shake them each day, which I can' t be bothered to do !!

Am thinking that slightly thinner but heavier ones might stay in place better ?

Any ideas ??

We went to John Lewis and bought hypoallergenic hollowfibre ones which are two in one (can't remember what they're called properly) so that they can have the 4.5tog in summer and the 9tog in winter and when they get older they might want them joined together when it gets cold.

Certainly don't have to shake them every morning. They wash in my machine and can dry in the tumble dryer too.

I too would opt for the "four seasons" duvet, the 2 that may be joined together. Though I don't ever actually join them together for my boys, I find they make a great duvet set, ie the 4.5 for most of the year and the 9 tog for winter.

They each have this light microfibre duvet which is just soooooo soft, even the cover is soft and slightly fluffy. They prefer the feel to their duvet covers. Just made me realise that maybe I should get them brushed cotton covers!!!!

I wouldn't worry too much about them staying in place, I always think it better that they can kick off a duvet if they should get too hot. Much easier to move about under a light duvet. I think I heavy duvet would be a bit restrictive for a child. Also, no problems with filling moving about!
