I am very lucky to have apurpose built walk in wardrobe except at the moment its just a blank space. I'm not sure how to divide it up into shelves for jumpers, dresses, skirts, shoes , jewellary storage, bag s torage. M y builder is asling for a plan of here i want dividers etc. Have you got any ideas? I.m worried i'll not macimise the space. Thx!

Have you had a look in Ikea - their displays are very good at maximising the space in walk in wardrobes - might be worth getting some ideas from there. The bulk of my WIW is hanging space with th bottom of every compartment being 2 drawers. There is storage above the hanging space for bags etc. If I could do it again I would have dedicated shoe shelves.

Put 2 shelves up on top, then a rail, then a shelf below.only leave a half section for full length and then do one rail on top of another for skirts, tops etc. I didnt go up far enough with shelves in our wardrobes and ended up with piles of clothes going too high=untidy. Had to get more fitted. Also if you can make any shelving 30-40 cm between each, it means you can use nice storage baskets/tubs on them, as they are usually this size.
