Is own brand washing powder as good as big names?

I'm sorry if this has been done before, but just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this? I've always bought supermarket own brand non-bio wash tablets as they're cheaper, but am wondering if I would get better results with one of the big brands. I can't say the ones I use are any good at shifting stains like grease. Also is powder better than tablets, or liquid?

Would be grateful for opinions on this. Thank you.

I use powder - far better than liquid or capsules or tablets here.

I also use non-bio and have no problem with stains (even with DS1 aged 4 and DS2 aged 2) I have found Persil the best though - own brand just doesnt match up. I bulk buy on offers though.

I use own-brand non bio powder. Occasionally use Vanish pre wash spray (e.g. on grease, pen etc) and find it all comes out. Personally I'm much better off with own brand as the big names aren't as good for sensitive skin.

Plus of powder- it's cheaper, and you can adjust how much depending on how big a wash you're doing.

Oh, and Bio-tex powder in most washes. Wonderful stuff.
