What is the best cleaing product to use to get rid of the greasy smears on your shower 'glass' doors, I have tried everything on the shelf and they never shine. Any ideas

I use windolene spray and kitchen roll. Apply liberally and wipe. Put a microfibre cloth by the shower and encourage people to wipe down after use. If you live in a hard water area, you may have limescale on them so a splash of vinegar in warm water might help. Sounds like my home should be a palace, doesn't it?! Shame it's such a sh1t hole!

I'm very lazy about housekeeping but this works for me...

Method tub + tile soap scum and stain remover. I didn't buy it for that purpose but was using it on the shower tiles and tried it on the glass door- it was brilliant (in a soft water area). I generally use it with a sponge that is slightly abrasive (which I found in Aldi - a normal sponge covered in fabric netting). Just spray on and wipe. I have also used white vinegar.

I also have a small windscreen wiper type thing (from a pound shop) that we use to scrape most of the drips off the tiles after using the shower. I say we, OH never bothers. I reckon it cuts down on the real shower cleaning though. The shower dries quicker so less chance for mould to build up. Now if you know anything to get rid of mould on grout! (The off the shelf stuff doesn't work since the shower was regrouted.)

We never clean our glass shower door with any kind of product, but we do wipe it down with a microfibre cloth (or any random towel) after every single use. And it never gets smeary and looks clean all the time.

Use a squeegy every time you have finished in the shower, means you hardly need to clean it, other than possibly some windolene for the stubborn bits (with an ecloth).

Nilglass. It's what double glazing companies use to keep Thor sample panes clean. You can get it from Lakeland.
