Mould in shower cubicle

Anyone got any tips or know of any products that are good for removing mould from the seal in a shower cublicle?

Same for removing grot from the grouting?

We had a lovely new ensuite put in about 6 months ago and am determined to keep on top of it and not let it become grotty.

Don't even get me started on the shower screen! Grin

Old toothbrush and some diluted bleach (1 part bleach to 4 water). Gets the grout to come out a treat Grin

Sorry grime out of the grout! You don't want you grout to fall out obv.

The best thing for the shower screen is to use a plastic squeegee after each shower. Admittedly it can be hard to get everyone on board with this strategy, but it only takes a minute and cuts out streakage.

dettol mould and mildew remover is great but watch out cos it stinks and will bleach anything it spills on - it is a spray so just squirt it wherever it needs to go.

HG mould remover from B&Q OR Homebase about £4. Great stuff. HG also do a limescale remover spray and a professional limescale liquid (for really thick scale). Grin

Domestos grot buster. It's absolutely the best thing for this.

Once you have got rid of the mould I find the best way to stop it growing is to quickly rinse the shower area with cold water at the end of each shower as mould needs moisture AND warmth to grow. HTH

I use HG Mould Remover, works like a dream. Just spray it on and leave it then rinse it off a few minutes later, no scrubbing involved. We also get a build up of an orange/pink residue from the local water, it shifts this like magic too. Can be difficult to find in local shops but Lakeland stock it.

I second the dettol mould and mildew remover - great in holiday cottages that are truely vile too Shock

Thirded on Dettol Mould and Mildew Remover.

On the shower screen, have you thought of coating it with a proper nano coating? These can take away water marking problems for years.

I have set up a website with my husband which will soon be selling products in this arena..... Smile
