What to do with all DS's teddies?

My DH has about 25 teddies, stuffed dogs, camels, etc. which he regularly plays with. In fact, he plays with them everyday. He lines them all up on the sofa to watch TV, plays schools, tea parties, etc. The thing is, what do we do with them all at tidying up time? At the moment we just pile some of them up on a small table in the corner of his room, some on his bed, some on the floor... there has to be a better solution, surely. I tried to find those hammock things but they don't seem to exist anymore.

Any suggestions please? Thanks!

DH darling husband?

COCKadoodledooo · 17/01/2011 15:01

We've a pop-up laundry basket from Ikea for the soft toys. The majority of them live on ds1's bed though.

Oh! Lol berryfreeze, not noticed that! Surely he can sort his own toy storage out? Wink

We've got a nice wicker laundry basket with a lid - cheap out of Dunelm Mill. Tis satisfying to see how many you can chuck in from the other side of the room Grin

I 2nd the pop up laundry basket :) primark have them for £2.50

Ikea do a hanging tube thing with several sections - you can fix it to the ceiling and not lose floor space. Unless you live in our house and it never gets put up at all...

We have a toy hammock, it was about a fiver from one of those annoying door to door catalogues. It holds loads and loads of them but we still have more. DH is going to put a load of cargo netting up across one of the alcoves in the DDs room like a huge hammock by the ceiling and they will all get chucked up there.

gorionine · 18/01/2011 11:07

We use something like that but single and lime green. Takes less floor space than a round basket we used to have and still fits all.

Tee hee - giggling away at the image of someone's dh coming in from work and playing with stuffed toys Grin
We have a hammock too. My ds also plays with his soft toys all the time and carries them around the house and leaves them everywhere.
The hammock needs to be at a height they can access but not that they could get their head trapped in or the consequences don't bare thinking about.
Think about dh's playing with cuddly toys instead. Grin

Thanks for all your suggestions, I am going to try to find a hammock. I know that Ikea out here doesn't have them, but I'll try one of the storage shops as it seems they do still exist.

Thanks again!
