Why would there be lots of water recurrently at the bottom of my fridge (inside it)? And what can I do about it?

you've got a blocked draining pipe bit - normally at the back of the fridge towards the bottom of the shelves there'll be a little hole where excess water drains away - stick a paint brush or similar in and give it a jiggle and problem will be solved :o

I can concur with that - we had the same.
In our case the drainage thing, with a weird red tag sticking out of it, was blocked with salad leaves that had frozen and got stuck.

Try sticking a straw down and blowing (not sucking !!!) hard..works for ours!

Furball · 13/01/2011 14:25

I sucked mine out with the wet and dry hoover - worked extremely well Smile

If the blockage seems beyond all poking-based repair, a teaspoon of Milton is an absolute miracle-worker. I had been prodding and mopping and swearing for 6 months before reading that tip on another thread. Milton, I tell you!

SparkyToo · 16/01/2011 10:00

Try unblocking with an ear bud - that's what I use!

arabella36 · 16/01/2011 12:42

Ooh, shall try cotton bud and Milton. Thank you kindly!
